Arkansas State Flag

Arkansas is the only state to mine diamonds in the United States and this is symbolized by the blue diamond.  The top blue star shows that Arkansas was a member of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War.  The other three blue stars represent France, Spain and the United States, all have held sovereignty in the area.
